This mountain offers a relatively easy two-hour hike to the summit, and awards its hikers with spectacular 360-degree views, making it a popular day-trip destination that even families can enjoy.
From the summit, you can see numerous peaks of the Northern Alps, including the Tateyama Mountain Range, Mt. Ontake, Mt. Hakusan, and on clear days you can even see as far as Toyama Bay.
Walk through the green tunnel of dense broadleaf trees and enjoy the diverse plant life shaped by the elevation changes growing along the trail.
After passing Suzume-daira, the trail enters a forest of giant beech trees. The fresh green foliage and the autumn colors of the Japanese maples and beech trees are breathtakingly beautiful.
