A shop specializing in Hida's traditional craft of Ichii Itto Bori (Ichii woodcarving). The hand-drawn owl pictures created using Sanchu washi paper are so popular that over 50,000 pieces have been created. The pictures come in seven sizes, from bookmarks to Shikishi paper boards, and framed pieces using solid elm wood are also available. Books have also been published and sold nationwide. Inside the shop, you'll also find craft items made using materials like black persimmon wood, all handmade by Tadao Ushimaru. Look for the sign featuring a Fortune-Inviting Cat, carved from a single piece of cypress wood.
