Take a break with a sweet treat at cheese confectionery Nijushi. The shop’s modern and natural-toned design, warm lighting, and wide windows are sure to put your mind at ease.

Nijushi’s handmade sweets include cheese terrine, cheese butter cookie sandwiches, cheese cookies, sesame pudding, and soft-serve ice cream made with jersey milk from Hida Furukawa (only available in summer). If you cannot make up your mind, the eatery also has tasting plates, which allow you to try smaller bites of each dessert. For beverages, the cafe serves coffee, cafe latte, tea, apple juice, local Hida beer, and sparkling wine.

In addition to its dine-in option, Nijushi also sells packaged sweets, so you can take its delicious flavors home.
