Hida Furukawa Sakura Gift Shop

飛騨古川さくら物産館

Located in the Sannomachi area, the Sakura gift shop offers a variety of popular souvenirs that are perfect to take home, including local crafts, snacks and food products — including Monaka-style ice cream from local brand, Bokuseisha.

Inside you can also try your hand at a variety of traditional experiences to take home something with a more personal touch. Try a braiding (kumihimo) experience, using traditional techniques such as the wooden marudai stand. You can also try painting a Warousoku Japanese candle or other craft items inside the gift shop.

Whether you’re looking for a gift for a loved one or hoping to experience a little of Hida’s craft culture for yourself, the Sakura Gift Shop can make the ideal stop.
