Ikeda Farm

池田農園

Ikeda Farm (Ikeda Nouen) is a popular spot known for its tomato picking. Ikeda grows eight different kinds of tomatoes, which are nurtured by the clean air and water of Hida’s countryside, adding an undeniable freshness to the fruits. Guests will be in awe of the brightly colored produce, with tomatoes ranging from bright red to deep red to yellow, and even orange!

The farm brings guests and nature together with a humbling experience centered on the importance of agricultural work and its harvest. As guests walk among the tomato plants, they are reminded of the source of their foods, which nowadays is often hidden behind modern convenience. At the end of the day, guests can leave the farm with freshly picked tomatoes, linking the exquisite taste of the locally grown produce to their memories.

The farm is also planning on introducing strawberry picking from December 2021.
