Hida City Library is a public library in central Hida Furukawa, not far from the train station. The multi-story facility is free to enter and provides free access to read and borrow books (for local residents), as well as Free Wi-Fi.

The library is notable as being one of several Hida attractions said to be the source inspiration for scenes in the 2016 hit animation movie, ‘Your Name’ (君の名は。, Kimi no Na wa). 

Note: as a public facility for Hida’s local residents, please refrain from taking photos inside without first obtaining permission from the front desk. Please remain respectful of other users as well as the library’s own rules during your visit here.
