Goto Liquor Shop stocks a wide range of Japanese sake and this traditional store in the Ichinomachi area of downtown Hida.
Located directly opposite the Watanabe Sake Brewery and just blocks from Kaba Sake Brewery, you can trust Goto comes well-stocked with the best of Hida’s own local sake, or jizake, which includes Otsubo Sake Brewery from over the hills in Hida’s Kamioka district.
Find the right sake for you by selecting something seasonal and to your taste — each variety can also be sampled allowing you to buy the perfect souvenir to take home.
Goto’s motto is Kura-choko (蔵直), which refers to their belief in providing only the best Japanese sake direct from Hida’s breweries.
