Koi Migration (Spring)

鯉の引っ越し(春)

In early April, the carp are reintroduced to the canals of the Seto Canal from their winter home—Tenjin Pond, the moat surrounding the Masushima Castle Ruins.

Experience nostalgia and beauty worthy of a painting by watching these vividly colored carp swimming leisurely against the current. Strolling along the riverside path while enjoying the sound of the Seto Canal's gentle flow and the sight of the carp swimming is a unique pleasure of this season.

The koi migration is an event where you can feel the warmth of the locals and the beauty of nature. Please take this opportunity to visit and enjoy the arrival of spring, along with the historic streetscape of Hida Furukawa.
