Busuitei

蕪水亭

Busuitei, established in 1870, is a charming ryokan located in the heart of Hida Furukawa that prides itself on enhancing visitors’ stays by acting as an extension of the quaint and peaceful atmosphere of the town. The ryokan’s traditional design is ever-present inside and out with a wooden exterior, tatami floors, and shōji-style sliding lattice doors creating an unforgettable Japanese lodging experience.

Busuitei’s kitchen crafts divine dishes for guests highlighting Hida’s locally grown ingredients and medicinal herbs in every bite. What better way to start one’s exploration of the historic town by sitting on tatami floors in front of floor to ceiling windows and sipping a cup of Japanese tea?

In addition to the cultural experience, Busuitei also provides comfort and convenience to guests with amenities such as free parking, air conditioning, heating, toiletries, a TV, free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, and even a hot tub to unwind after a day of adventure. The ryokan’s central location in Hida Furukawa puts many of the town’s popular sights, such as the Shirakabe Dozogai Street, within walking distance. The small ryokan consists of a limited number of rooms, so booking ahead is required.

Busuitei Ryokan truly epitomizes the alluring nature of Hida Furukawa and ensures guests a one-of-a-kind stay in an equally magical town.
