Tanekura, located in the Miyagawacho area of Hida City, is a mountain retreat in a village celebrated for its history and culture. Tanekura is a tiny rural spot with only a few houses and historical itakura warehouses which have been there for centuries. Tanekura Inn, the town's only guesthouse, is a beautiful and tranquil spot for visitors to relax and experience authentic rural Japanese life.

With tatami rooms, a traditional fireplace, hinoki (cypress wood) bath and spacious lounge area it's the ideal spot to relax and catch a touch of respite from the hustle and bustle of contemporary city life.

Tanekura Inn also celebrates locally sourced cuisine which makes up an eclectic and delicious vegan menu. Composed of local vegetables and handmade soba noodles the variety and textures which make up the dishes at Tanekura Inn are simply astonishing.

Access

Go north from Furukawa on National Route 41, and turn right on Prefectural Road 471. After driving for 20 minutes, you could find a sign on the right side. Follow the sign on the winding road, until you arrive at your destination.
